Moro Plantation
From Katahdin
Moro Plantation was formed from a part of Rockabema Plantation in 1891, but the latter has since been absorbed by the former. Located about 24 miles west of Houlton and north of Patten on Maine Route 11, Moro Plantation, in addition to having Rockabema Lake, is replete with small ponds and streams making for fine fishing for anglers. Knowles Corner, on the northern boundary, is at the intersection of Maine Routes 11 and 212, which leads to Smyrna Mills in the south.
